FIRE SUPPORT SPECIALIST

640th RTI Artillery
13F MOSQ Phase 1 and 2*
This course is designed to teach the skills needed to perform as a Field Artillery Fire Support Specialist. It provides a working knowledge for the skill level 1 Fire Support Specialist in the following areas: Map Reading, Land Navigation, Observed Fire Procedures, Digital Operations, Fire Support Team Vehicle Maintenance, and Laser Operations.

13F30 ALC Phase 2 and 3

The purpose of the course is to train Field Artillery  Fire Support NCOs to lead, train, and direct a Fire Support Team in requesting and coordinating the delivery of artillery fires, close air support and naval gunfire and to supervise the maintenance of assigned equipment.

13F40 SLC Phase 1 and 2

The purpose of the course is to train Field Artillery  Fire Support NCOs to lead, train, and direct a Fire Support Element in requesting and coordinating the delivery of artillery fires and other fire support assets.

If you report to any of these courses after 2400 hrs on the specified report date, you will not be enrolled in the course and will be immediately returned to you home station.

Soldiers attending 13F MOS-T must be qualified in Physical Demand Category (PDC) "Heavy" as determined by HQDA EXORD 202-16. OPAT testing must be accomplished prior to course start date.

Soldiers attending 13F ALC or SLC are required to complete a Criterion Writing Assignment prior to course start date. An access code and link will be sent out to the students in a Reserve Status.
