Engineers of Task Force Chinandega are getting a construction worksite in Jinocuago ready for the cement work that will be needed before they build a medical clinic for the city as part of New Horizons 2005 – Nicaragua. Army, Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps reservists of the task force are building four schools and two medical clinics as part of New Horizons 2005 – Nicaragau, a civil-military program that combines humanitarian aid with military training opportunities. Task Force Chinandega is also setting up free medical and veterinary clinics (called Medical Readiness Training Exercises, or MEDRETEs, and Veterinary Readiness Training Exercises, or VETRETEs) for thousands of people living in western Nicaragua.
