Insurance Changes for FY2010 and Open Enrollment

Benefit changes have been posted to the employee gateway (see below for description on what the Employee Gateway is) for the upcoming fiscal year.

Also, open enrollment, which begins April 15, 2009 will be conducted online this year.

ANSWER: The Employee Gateway! To access employee gateway, you will need a state email account OR contact the help desk to give an alternate email address and receive your state ID and password.

ADA and FMLA Changes

Amendments have been made to the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Family Medical Leave Act that became effective in January of 2009. Any employee who desires accommodation or wishes to apply for FMLA should see State Human Resources. 

Supervisors of state employees: if any employee mentions any type of issue that may be related to the above, please advise the employee to see HR immediately.

Healthy Utah's New Rebate Program

 Beginning January 1, 2009, all eligible members can complete the First Steps rebate and earn $50 in the process.

• First, complete your biometrics (blood pressure, cholesterol, BMI, waist circumference and blood glucose) through a Healthy Utah Testing Session or your Primary Care Physician

• Then complete the on-line Health Assessment (HA) questionnaire in your myHealthyUtah account.

• If your numbers are at healthy levels, you will also receive the $50 Good for You rebate.

• f you qualify for reducing any of the numbers on your biometrics, you may go on to reduce those numbers to receive additional rebates.
